Ideal Mouse Trap
Patented October 23rd, 1883

This is another invention of John Morris. John Morris was better known for his Delusion mouse traps

but is also credited with the 15th Amendment, Cyclone, Scooper and Ideal mouse and rat traps.

This trap stands out from many of the others in the detail of the air holes on the side of the trap. They are cut in the shape of little windows.

An unfortunate aspect of the design of this particular trap caused mice to chew their way to freedom near the entrance hole. As such, many of these traps have rather large mouse holes chewed through the side of the trap and the example in my collection is no exception. As such, I would be very interested in upgrading my trap if you have an example to sell

Please contact me if you have one of these traps to sell.
